He was the 1st born of Kamehameha (Hawaii's 1st King) - this is a color version of an earlier graphic. That earlier graphic was taken from a “portrait drawing” done in Britain back when Hawaii was “discovered” by the west & royalty was known for portraits & fancy uniforms. Personally, I think he was a young king that hadn’t learned to conceal his discomfort from British portrait artists.
