A much beloved icon for the yuletide season---Santa Claus! My rendition is a rotund fellow with rosy cheeks, twinkly blue eyes, and a soft flowing beard.--dressed in rich brocades and furs to symbolize a season of plenty. Here he holds a potted pear tree with ripened golden fruit and a chubby partridge sitting on a branch. I'm thinking that this will be the forerunner to my depiction of the popular poem/song--The 12 Days of Christmas.
