Located just southeast of Silver City, New Mexico in the high desert of the southwest, you'll find City of Rocks State Park. One square mile of unique rock formations as a result of a volcanic eruption almost 35 million years ago and smoothed by erosion over time. Paths meander through and around the rock pinnacles, some raising as high as 40 feet. the Park includes a Visitor Center with restrooms, gift shop and information, campground and picnic areas.
