This image is done in the old style called chiaroscuro. It was widely used during the Renaissance period. The dark foreground and side make the image really stand out. I took this landscape from a memory of a few years ago. It is from an area I saw while driving near Gunnison Colorado. The cliffs in the background with mountains and a stomy sky give this piece of art a beautiful look.
