Every May I've made it a bit of a ritual to illustrate a mermaid for May's 'Mermay' challenge. It's a fun subject matter that I enjoy tackling I must admit! This year I wanted to try something a bit different, opting for something a bit darker than my usual work. I thought it would be fun to illustrate a mermaid creature as opposed to a typical beauty, which was a nice change of pace I'd say. Please enjoy!
