About "Spectrum" and more
These photos were taken in the summer of 1991. My father in front of my Art. Myself at the door.
The name of the gallery/store "Spectrum" is derived from the scientific term, about refracting light rays through a prism and creating an explosion of the rays of the colors of the rainbow.
This is due to my great love for colors and colorfulness.
In "Spectrum" I presented my various artworks, which were also an example of receiving orders.
At the same time, the gallery/store is also used as a studio for me, where I occasionally work on textile designs.
In addition, I design fashion accessories, and various products, such as decorative items for the home.
Everything is done by hand.. No product is digital and certainly not photoshopped. And not printed.
At "Spectrum" I work in splits, between nine in the morning and seven in the evening, with a lunch break. six days a week.
Part of my work is also done in the evenings in my apartment then.
Despite my basic desire that only my products be displayed and sold in "Spectrum"... I quickly realized that I would have to find a place for other people's products as well.
Works by several artisans, as well as fashion accessories sold to me by various agents.
My desire and my understanding of the clientele is to make art products and more that will suit the financial capabilities of different customers. In other words, they will fit every pocket.
Expensive products, next to less expensive products.
In these photos, all artwork is my work.
The days, are the beginning days of the store.. and even if I am dressed in a silk fabric that I painted myself, I don't usually dress like that in the store. Young in years, approaching age 27.
People who visited the store were enthusiastic about it, and some called it the "Little Shop of Horrors " (Movie Title). In the store, I learned a lot, as well as what happens in times of war, which we also went through then.
The store closed two weeks before the birth of my eldest son.
