This is an Asian-inspired still life of cattails in a bowl filled with marbles. The upper background is fabric I cut from a yukata (a lightweight, casual Japanese kimono worn in the summer) and the bowl is also an Asian-design fabric. The cattails are cut from faux suede, and the remainder of the piece is paper collage. I made it specifically for one of my bathrooms, which is done in indigo-and-white Asian patterns and natural wicker and rattan baskets.
