Staircase ascending into Big Ditch, what once was Main Street in this small southwestern New Mexico town. After the flood of 1895 sent a wall of water rushing through the town cutting a 35 ft. deep canal down the street, now is a river walk park. Yearly monsoon seasons can turn this usual quiet creek at the bottom of Big Ditch into an amazing raging torrent of water. Silver City, New Mexico USA. Copyright (c) Vicki K, Pelham
