Crete DSC06729 (2)

Associations with Crete, Greece, everything to attract travelers: ancients Knossos palace, Minoan ceramics, mythology, bull as Zeus, bull for games, old charming shacks, and very salty and clean Aegean sea.

Nice assortment of Minoan symbols and artefacts - good job! Some people (like the author Rodney Castleden) believe that the MInoans were a priestess-led theocracy (with thalassocratic tendencies)...a bit like the current regime in Iran, although led (mostly) by women in the Minoan case! What are your thoughts on this issue, if I may ask?

Artist Reply: Thanks! Unfortunately, I know almost nothing about that interesting time and skillful people, hope, with time their language could be decoded and we will get some answers. I had my first trip to Greece this summer, and decided to explore only Crete because I read a few books about numerous layers of various cultures it had. Island did not disappointed! It seems like some features ( bull games, women outfits, for example) were copied on Crete and posted later in Spain.
