I just had to produce a painting of the very grand ‘Basildene Manor’ in which my wife and I were recently privileged to be guests in for a couple of days. Basildene Manor is in Margaret River, Western Australia. The front of the 1912 stone building is shaded by a massive oak tree grown from an acorn acquired from the grounds of Buckingham Palace around 1910. ‘God’s creation is my inspiration’ Gesso and varnished acrylic on stretched canvas 61x31x4cm (24x12x1.5in)
