I started a play many moons ago which had actors in boxes shuffling across the stage bumping into things and other actors (in boxes) and reacting to same. And also did a drawing titled 'Each man: a box' also a long time back. Of course, yours is more rectangular than 'cubular.' But I always look at them and us as somehow related. Very nicely done. :)
Artist Reply: I remember something similar to what you've mentioned introduced as a kind of sport or entertainment where the participants were wearing inflatable cubic outfits and bumping into each other and even rolling on the floor. Thank you and be well!
