Rare to this area Nazca Booby. This bird was blown off course in a storm in Oregon. It was found starving outside a sushi restaurant in Oregon and rescued by the Oregon Aquarium. Once it was stabilized, it was flown to International Bird Rescue in San Pedro California. There it is recovering and gaining strength to be released soon to head back to the Galapagos Islands.

Artist Reply: Yes, my daughter manages the International Bird Rescue. If you are interested they have a bird cam you can log into and still see the booby in the aviary with the Pelicans

GREAT SHOT. SO GLAD HE WAS RESCUED

Artist Reply: My daughter manages the Bird Rescue Facility and occasionally has me up to photography and film birds. This one was so tame you could get right up to it and it posed different ways.
