I suppose this is my tribute, a very late one, too the tsunami disaster... among other things. I dare say it is easily one of the darkest pieces in my gallery. Simple black and white seemed most appropriate so that is what I went with. Sharp shadows seem to convey so much more emotion and as such that is what I stuck with. Normally I would have done a bit of polishing up on a piece like this. Smooth out the lines, make sure the shadows were pitch, things like that. I may do a bit with this (detail ont he rocks or wall) but I prefer the slightly more messy look of it. Afterall that is the entire point of the image: to show things arn't always neat and tidy like we, in the Western world, prefer to assume it too be....
