Do you see the rabbit? I produced this picture using my smartphone camera during a walk in my Baltimore City neighborhood. I usually see squirrels scampering around because there are a lot of trees in the area, but this was my first time seeing a rabbit- must be someone's pet rabbit, because I've seen the same rabbit in the same area in the days since I took this photograph.

HOW BEAUTIFUL, VERNONETTE & CUTE LITTLE BUNNY. PERHAPS HE WAS LEFT AT EASTER? MY NEIGHBORHOOD ALSO HAS A LITTLE BUNNY; I SEE HIM SOMETIMES IN SIDE YARD ACROSS THE STREET. XO

We see them here too. People wanted an animal during covid lockdown and now they're back to work and leave them on the street. It's so sad.

Artist Reply: Thank you Anneke for your insightful comment. I've heard on the radio talk shows that people have now been abandoning pets that they sheltered during the height of the coronavirus crisis last year. I agree- so sad.
