The 1st born of Kamehameha (Hawaii's 1st King). As Kamehameha 2nd he's known for bringing both kapu & the ritual system to an abrupt end in 1820 with the advisement of his father's advisor (John Young). His dad's wife (Ka'ahumanu) was also his councilor. Both promoted the establishment of Christianity after the arrival of American missionaries.
