Techno Arcadia

Digital Painting (2021) In the upcoming cybernetic revolution, questions arise of whether or not technology will aid or hinder the human race. A view or duality presents two views of a controversial perspective and perhaps an alternate definition of 'paradise'. Techno Arcadia or 'technological paradise' is a concept I've revisited after its first materialization 5 years ago, similarly to digital heartbeat it addresses an oncoming age or cyberization but unlike digital heartbeat, it focuses more on the human aspect. Arcadian can be defined as "idyllically innocent, simple, or untroubled.""Arcadia" is used to designate a place of rustic innocence and simple, quiet pleasure; not unlike the original intentions of the multimedia empire. There are two outlooks for the image based on that definition; the first of which takes a cynical look in the new age, the comprehension that few people fail to realise that applied science doesn't always go to plan, and the cost of comfort and convenience could be one's soul and inspiration, the stripping of humanity for replacement with systematisation. The second shows the merging of binary intelligence with human emotion to create a duality-balanced world ideal for all sides of the equation. Whether this philosophy requires machines to be regarded simply as aids to the human race or a separate and equal counterpart of intelligence and consciousness is entirely up to the viewer to decide. Regardless of perspective, the characterization of mortal transition to a binary parallel without even a glimpse of a smile from the subject is enough to present a serious and uncustomary view of societies chronology.
