SELF PORTRAIT 1984...on 18" X 24" PAPER USING ink, charcoal, pen, shoe polish rub, fixative =================================THE OBJECT LESSON from this self-portrait from 1984 is that in that era there was social acceptance of smoking, YES, LOOK CLOSELY and you can see it! I had a cigarette hanging out of my mouth. FOOLISHNESS THAT CAUGHT UP WITH ME IN THE FORM OF COPD...hard to breathe sometimes...so please take to heart my warning and put away the ... weed...and enjoy the air you breathe....and then you can proclaim that now you are a member of the ---I DON'T SMOKE ANYMORE CLUB! Then you can add IT IS GREAT TO BE ALIVE AGAIN!!!!
