three ft. tall by four ft. wide, oils on canvas.Did this one to prove I still could handle a work this size, the photo from which was one I took during the first time I was at a client's house.I did a little work for him painting tromp-l'oeil on objects on his place on Barrison Point. The view is towards Hart-Miller Island., which is near where the Mouth of the Patapsco River enters the Chesapeake Bay coming Directly from Baltimore Harbor. Took about three months on-and-off through October- February; not easy. The reason being that this was a picture worked by my vision and not a 'set-list' of pictorial elements which were painted in turn. - I didn't take monies from him during the work times I was there wanting to get paid all at once at the end, he passed away before I could collect. - I didn't stretch this canvas specifically for this picture. I' d had the canvas around from a failure which lead me to re-prime it. All of the undrpaint thru that process was water based and all the paint from this final was oil so no probs 'fat-onto-lean'. (I've not done this in years.)Cause here is my hand couldn't 'work' the stapler. Perhaps now it can.
