This is an original painting of April in Georgian countryside. Tetritskharo is a village about an hour away from the capital city of Tbilisi. I have a summer house here, but would like to come often throughout the whole year and to paint in the plain air. The trees are changing constantly, and it fascinates me. The village is about 1300 meters above the sea level, and the spring comes late. Although I painted it in April and the new grass was already there, the trees were barely budding. But one could tell, that they were about to wake up. I could almost hear the hum of the roots and sap of awakening trees. I hope the viewer can get the similar feeling.
