This Polish full-size vessel was built at the Gdansk shipyard where it was launched in 1981. The vessel is owned by Gdynia Higher Maritime Academy, which uses the vessel as a training vessel. On board there is room for 120 + 30 cadets and a permanent crew of 44 people. The Dar regularly takes part in the annually held Tall Ship Races.
