In the winter time around Central Florida where I live white pelicans arrive around the end December or the first of January and leave again in March or April. They are beautiful and even though they are directly related to the more common Brown Pelican they do almost everything differently. For example, the herd their food instead of diving for it, like their cousins the browns, the do almost everything in large groups, they are not as social as the browns. But are beautiful and they fly in formation like the browns, as shown here.
