Rory Gallagher IV

After fighting two jackets I decided it was high time to draw Rory at his guitar. That instrument is easily one of the most recognisable in rock history. The paint was wearing off from constant playing. It was once stolen and later found in a ditch, weather-beaten, scraped, wet and just plain messed up. His brother, Dónal, also has said that his very rare blood type caused his sweat to be particularly acidic and caused some of the wear to the finish. But, Rory's first electric was his baby and he played it on every album and in every concert. I had to draw that Strat. Plus, when I saw the photo I wanted a go at that hair. I mean cripes, look at that! Troy Polamalu would be envious.
