The Domestic population of Muscovy Ducks in Florida and Texas and warmer climate states has really exploded in recent years in comparison to the their ancestry the Cairina moschata, now known as the Wild Muscovy Duck. By mixed marriages with other available ducks like the mallards and others their size and appearance has changed as well. Shown here in the photo a mother swims and counts her ducklings and constantly keeps them within reach.
