This is the latest installment of the series and my favorite. Instead of having a face at the top this piece, it depicts a beautiful skeletal neck that to me is as interesting as a face. I find many aspects of this composition to be very successful. The stretching of the skin across the bottom was a perfect way to end the image without bleeding off the canvas. The presentation of this idea is so compelling that the viewer does not question how something like this can even occur.
