Amazing Photos ,to capture the moss,the old bark weathering away ,it's magnificent to see this as they regenerate from season to season.

trunks and the shredding of bark likes whats on the gum tree is what feeds the forest fires in Australia !and cooks the koalas etc !!Australian gums shed bark all the time and if you have walked in the ozzie bush you will see its thick on the ground almost up to your knees ! I REMEBER AS A KID PEELING BARK OF PINE TREES WITH A AXE TO BURN ! OT ALL JUST SOME !
