"GORGAS HOSPITAL ANCON CANAL ZONE" Acrylic painting I painted yesterday. Gorgas Hospital took my Mother to Panama. She was an RN & head of the new born nursery at Gallinger Municipal Hospital in Washington DC. It was renamed District of Columbia General Hospital in 1953. Gorgas Hospital sent out a call to RNs in the US to come work for them. My mom answered that call along with Henri Skeie & a couple other RNs at Gallinger & they remained close life long friends unti each one's death.
