Previously, I had said that I came across this photo by accident, I miss spoke. I was searching for this face for over a year. In the United States, there are no statistics for the number of missing and murdered Native and Indigenous Americans. Our government can tell you within a few percentage points how many gray wolves there are in this country, their migratory patterns, along with their predicted life expectancy. It seems inconceivable that we know more about wolves than we do about human beings. There is something fundamentally wrong with this depraved indifference. As an artist, the only method at my disposal is to do a drawing and offer a visual interpretation.
