Sort of a self-imposed 'time-out?' And the bandages, are they from external battles or are they self-inflicted? These are the questions that arise as I view this. I see battle-weary beauty in a dreary lifeless place. BUT there is an underlying strength and resolve too. Art is a way of making the internal visible and it is primarily for the artist and NOT the viewer. This is what so many seem to misunderstand. Very good work, Christina. As Spock would say, "Live long and prosper." :)

Artist Reply: This peice is inspired by one of my favorite quotes. "It has been said that time heals all wounds. I don't agree. The wounds remain. Time - the mind, protecting its sanity - covers them with some scar tissue and the pain lessens, but it is never gone." Rose Kennedy
