A Traditional African Beehive

Image of a traditional beehive (honey box) such as is used by the Kamba ethnic community found in South-Eastern Kenya, East Africa. This particular hive was photographed in the Kyatune area of Kitui County, Kenya. The honey expected from the hive is the type produced mainly from acacia thorn trees found in plenty in this semi-arid region.
