Be Still

William H. Hunt once wrote "When language was not transcendental enough to complete the meaning of a revelation, symbols were relied upon for heavenly teaching, and familiar images, chosen from the known, were made to mirror the unknown spiritual truth." One of the things gold has represented throughout art history is something sacred. It's luminous, the omnipresence of the almighty has been ever with us, we just are not aware. We want it to manifest in a tangible way in our lives, but that rarely happens. In this painting, I’m representing that presence transcending into our world. It’s important for you to connect to your source of light and peace. Child’s pose reminds us to be still. The place of rest and peace is a good thing.
