This artwork shows a pair of Emus, one of Australia's favorite birds with their orange-red eyes and individual personalities. It was created with acrylics and airbrush on stretched canvas using photographs taken by us as a reference. 51cm x 61cm x 3.5cm.

Thank you, everyone, for your kind comments, the thing is these birds are all cute and each one has a different hairdo. Dad is usually a little bushier eyed as he looks after all the chicks, up to 40 at a time. I photographed the lady here and Steve photographed the male but as I was on the ground with camera pointed skywards, Mrs. Emu had a more startled look. Such fun creating this one!
