This is in memory of Eleanor Greeley, my next door neighbor lady as a child. She listened to me play "concerts" as a child violin student. My mom, of blessed memory also, bless her heart, did not have the patience to listen to a new violin student saw away on the same "Mary Had a Little Lamb" night after night but Eleanor did and she clapped enthusiastically ever time and then served me cocoa and cookies to reward me afterwards. I became an accomplished violist by the time I was in high school and I owe much of that to Eleanor. She encouraged me very much. And I did very well under her wings. I love the memories I have of those early concerts and I painted this in honor of those memories. Copyright 2010 Adelle John.
