Boating Day in Portscatho Harbor Looking at Roseland Peninsula, Created by Ginger Olansen, Acrylic painting, "Cornwall UK" 18" x 24" Wrapped Canvas. The photographer who gave me permission to paint her photo was dear friend Mary Alice Petch-Pollard 2015. The painting was SOLD about a 3 months after she died. I regretted it, but during the sale I heard her voice in my head "Stop dwelling on it, you have the jpg to look at, let it go"! And I did.

Amazing work !

Artist Reply: Thanks. That painting has special meaning to me. My friend in the UK (cornwall) passed away too young and she took that photo. A great photographer. I had sent her the jpg so she could print it. She got to enjoy it a year at least! Then I was in an art show and I regretted selling it. It was the first to sell. The people love the story. Then in my head I heard her say "let it go, you have the jpg, we will always have the memory between us. She had only passed a few days before. Weird. She knew I was upset over it! She made it easier for me.

Artist Reply: This painting I did in 2015 is of the Portscatho Harbor, UK Looking at Roseland Peninsula. The original photographer that let me paint her work, a dear friend that passed recently, Mary Alice Petch-Pollard. Do you know the Pollards by chance?
