Statenjacht

The name "yacht" for a boat emerge up, for the first, in the middle of the 18th century. The watercolor shows, a very prinked up vessel, in use, in Holland, for the transport of high officers and officials from town to the sailingships. "Statenjacht" means something like: yacht of state (?) This luxuary boat, with a lenght of 23 m, is an authentic reconstruction on base of original plans from 1746. The building was occured by ninty jobless young men under the leadership of capable shipbuilders . Image size: 260 x 360 mm
