I love it when friends send me photos of birds.....they all know how much I love them!! This painting was inspired by one such photo five years ago. We were never able to find the photographer and have since lost track of where the photo was first spotted. In fact, I had even forgotten about this painting until I recently stumbled across it!! Acrylics and watercolors were combined to give this painting a unique finish on 300lb cold press watercolor paper

Such sweet little peeps!! :D And Joanie, you can get 300lb paper from Amazon. I know because I have some in my "Wishlist". LOL

ADORABLE. BEAUTIFUL WORK. I PAINT ALL DIFFERENT MEDIUMS AND LIKE WATERCOLORS A LOT. WHERE DO YOU FIND 300 LB PAPER. I HAVE THE USUAL 140 AND SOME 200LB. Thanks.

Artist Reply: Thank you.... I love mixing acrylics with watercolors if the paper is heavy enough! I bought a large stash of 300 lb paper a number of years ago from a wonderful art supply store in Colorado. You can try looking online for some. It's been so long since I've shopped for watercolor paper, I don't know if this heavy weight is even popular any longer. Good luck!! :-)
