I painted this oil portrait sketch from imagination in a fifteen minute period on a piece of masonite in 1979. What you see here is a mending of the same image via "photo stitch" Osage were a people of tall bodies and great strength who were much feared by many other tribes of Native Americans who lived in the Missouri river Valley and near the rocky Missouri River bluffs before their displacement by european pioneer settlers in the 19th century.
