"Limestone Empire," c.2012, is an ink/pen piece done on 11" x 14" Canson canvas paper. The limestone that was used in the building of the Empire State building in New York City, was Indiana limestone, which created many quarry! It was taken there by train and trucks...from my Indiana home, Indianapolis.

Mark: wonderful perspective work. Great job. Regards, Will

Artist Reply: Will, thank you for the compliment. I inked this after my daughter returned from New York City after touring there to sing at Carnegie Hall. She loved the Empire State Building and took numerous pictures of it, so I did this as if they were looking up at this incredible building, which includes Indiana Limestone in its creation.
