The day sign Cozcacuauhtli, in Nahuatl, is a day of introspection and forgiveness. It is a time to reflect on past acts and their consequences – to think about the law of cause and effect. It is a good time to make offerings, ask forgiveness from those who we’ve wronged, attend ceremonies and listen to elders and our cultural traditions. It is also a time to ask Mother Earth for forgiveness of past abuses and give thanks for the abundance she has provided. Not only can we learn from their teachings, but we can seek knowledge from within ourselves as well in order to tap into our life’s purpose and the path we are traveling at this time in our evolvement. In addition, it is an opportune time to appreciate the wonder and beauty of this mysterious universe and to remember that everything in the universe is connected – we are one.
