My original idea was to make a castle on a hill with a dragon. I decided to start with the little house. And then there really wasnt room for a castle. Even a ruined wall or tower would have cluttered the piece. I cut furrows for a field to the left of the house to make it a farm. The hill looked like it needed an eye. And then another. And then the dragon just seemed redundant. I had to glaze it twice with low-fire glaze to get it just right, but I am really happy with the result.
