Ashley's Dream

16" X 20" Oil on Canvas-- This painting was given and dedicated to my daughter Ashley, who is my inspiration for my ballet series. It was always her dream to be on "point"...hence the title.

If you've a shoe fetish, this is the portfolio to go to... ha ha ha. How do you sign your work so beautifully?--

Artist Reply: Olga, Thank you for the humorous response :) To sign: I thin the chosen oil paint with medium (an Old Master mixture of: 1 part Damar Varnish, 1 part Linseed oil and 3 parts Mineral spirits). I then role a # 0 script liner in teh thinned mixure bringing the tip to a fine point. I get about two letters before I reload the brush again. It takes a steady hand...and holding your breath. When I first started, it would take me over 10 trys to get it the way I wanted it to look.
