Standing Guard

While in Yellowstone National Park, I was observing the behavior of the coyotes at an elk kill. The one on the right, a radio collared coyote, was acting like he was standing guard while the other one fed. At times, they both would look around...chasing away other coyotes...or anything else that got in their way.
