Artist Reply: Thank you Richard, I appreciate the kind words. The fade was an effect that was easier in my mind then actually drawing it. I first created a reference image of the photo in Photoshop with that effect on it and then carefully copied it in the drawing. It required using several different grades of pencils from a 2H pencil up to an 8B pencil in places. I just kept working it with light strokes of the pencils and a kneaded eraser to erase small imperfections. It was simply a lot of work and took a long time but I am quite pleased with the result and so are the couple who bought it. Thanks for your interest. Tim
