My pet cat of 17 years died on the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. I decided to paint her on a pink backgroung, originally to be a bed of rose petals, but just simplified instead. I knew the painting looked like her, when her twin cat jumped up on the table gazing at the portrait. The painting measures 16" x 20" and is in oil on canvas.
