A Real Teddy Bear

We went to the mountains here in Washington state near Canada to dig for crystals below an 1800's gold shaft and on our way back from a fairly successful dig a black bear was running across the road when we came around a blind corner. We stopped in awe to see if we could get a better look...when on the other side of the road...came the baby! WOW! We were between him and his mama! He didn't know what to do so he immediately climbed up the tree that we were parked right next to! I was taking several pics from behind a closed window...and no mama...so silly me...I decided to open the door and watch for her from my periffial vision and take some nice clear pics. I actually took several great pics...but this is one of my favorites! We finally decided not to traumatize the cute little guy too much and so far no mama bear attack...so we left. I couldn't wait to get home and download my pics to see what I got! Think I will paint him...what do you think?

He's very beautiful; looks kind of shy!
