Artist Reply: It is important for me to be innovative, Marie-Claire. 'Decorative' can be a bitof a swearword, but no work will 'work' if there isn't some element of domething that brings the piece together I think

Artist Reply: ..and truly I was not offended by tis work being called decorative. I did, however, get a lot of flak at one school, becasue the tutors seemed to have a very rigid idea about abstract art. Now I can see that their advice had confused me on many levels, so now I just follow my own path...
