The immortal Messerschmitt 109 here depicted is a late mark BF109G-10 of the classic a late contender for the aerial battles of the shrinking Reich. Supercharged and remodelled – tall tail and Galland hood – all was done to keep up with the pace of ever improving contenders for air supremacy. Not the master of the skies of the early war years and outclassed in many respects by its competition, but always dangerous always to be feared.
