Thunderhead

I shot this thunderhead when I was at a nearby marsh. It was huge, but over ten miles away. The sunset lit up the clouds. This was to the east of us.

Artist Reply: Thank you. This cloud was huge. We usually see clouds from the bottom, but we saw this one from the side and even though it was so far away, it was gigantic. It was really something to see how the setting sun lit it up. I was also struck by how it is the textbook anvil shape. I was really glad I had my camera with me!
