This is one of the "front-men," (the false prophet) for the anti-Christ himself who is standing as a shadowy figure in the background. The anti-Christ is faceless as his identity is yet, unknown... What we do know from the Word is that much of mankind, choosing to live in self-centered delusion, will be led astray by the deception of a worldly messiah known as the anti-christ. A messiah who will be a fixer of the things of this world, in which, so many place their hope. When things finally get bad enough, much of the world will be ready to welcome this worldly messiah with open arms. This work represents that with God's spiritual insight we can see the beast as he really is.
