Red Mountain, Snowy Sky

Diptychs are such nice forms.
This duo has a subtle and playful mixture of texture and color.
There's warmth and richness of the colors and a delicate balance of textures.
Although the work is small, it gives a monumental landscape feel.

'The Snowman, Walking in the Air',
by George Winston.

Art continues on the sides.
(Top, bottom and middle sides are painted in matte black.)
Doesn't need a frame.

Mixed media used:
caparol binder (resin binder glue), soft wood shavings (excelsior), crushed egg shells, silk, cheese cloth.
All worked in with different mediums (Liquitex, Golden only) to conserve the pieces.

The way you work, makes a very special style, which you made your own. I take a deep bow...
