Very evocative piece, Dave. It leaves me wondering who's doing the calling and if this stolid and sharply angular being would welcome such a call at such an hour. Nice one. :)

Artist Reply: Thanks, Charles ... calls around midnight always made me jump because it usually was never good news ... and before caller ID, if you received a call that stopped after 2 or 3 rings , you'd be wondering who was trying to reach you : )
